currently l have a sportster but l wanted to give a sports bike a try before l get another harley.i've been riding for about two years, took the saftey course and all that.l want a motorcycle taht is more powerful then the sportser but l do not want a horse power monster.is a 600 a good place to start?like the zx6r, cbr600rr, gsxr600?more then likely i will never go to the track so i'm looking for a bike that is more street less track orintated.l was told the yamaha is most designed for the track so even though the 09 looks sweet, l do not think its the bike for me.you do you think?

Well u see, it depends=D The problem with using 600s on the street is that, to get any power out of them, u have to rev like hell. For the street, where half of ur time will be spent in traffic (going SLOW), this is impractical. HOWEVER, there is one way to get around this problem. The triumph daytona 675 has 3 cylinders instead of the usual 4. This means that (by sacrificing a TINY amount of top end speed) u get much more torque at low & mid-range revs, which is where u really need the power on the street. Besides that, numerous track-only bikers I've talked to say that if they got a street bike, it would be the triumph. Hope that helps, cheers:- )
