l got a yz85 this summer and was still getting used to the powerband the past couple times l was riding it. Anyways there is this guy and he always tells me that l am afraid to ride and that l am not good enough to ride, when l get stuck in soft sand and pop the clutch he laughs at me and make fun of me. At Thanksgiving he got a new 250 that he can not even start, and still has the right to tell me that l can not ride.

(He has only been riding for 6 months and l have been riding for 5 years)

What do l do about this?

l agree with cutler but what l would do is get him on a really tight track l am guessing his 250 is a 4 stroke? so get him on a tight track since your 85 is two stroke and smaller you should not have any problem and he having the more powerful bike on a smaller track well odds are against him just take your 5 years of experience you will know what to do and trust your bike it seems that would be the only way to shut him up to beat him!!!

People who do this to others usually do so as they feel insecure in themselves. If this person makes comments to u about ur riding just reply that unless they have some advice that will be useful to you, that they would be better off working on their own riding than bothering about yours.

The next thing to do is practice & keep on practicing.

l know over the years that my son has had a few people spout off at the mouth that they r better. He usually just waits till they decide to ride & blows them off the track. It is amazing how they then decide to stop riding for the day or pull of when they see him come onto the track.

You only get better by riding with someone better that will push u & also by seat time.

The real issue is that he probably feels threatened by you.

So just broaden ur shoulders till the time comes when u can blow the person off the track.
