That would depend upon who raced the bike, at what level it was raced & if the bike was well maintained or not. If the bike was raced by an A grade rider u could expect the bike to be a bit tired & it is all the little things like linkage bearings, swing arm bearings that wear without u realising it. The bushes could be gone in the front forks & the head stem bearing may also be worn. Also if the bike vibrates a lot could be an indication that the bottom end is on its way out.

Get someone who knows about bikes to have a look over the bike even if u have to pay them to do so. It is better to spend a few dollars this way & not waste a lot of money on a lemon.

Also keep in mind that for resale value the cr125cc r no longer in production.

depends
look at the bike & ask the owner about what kind of races its been in, how hard it was ridden, what repares (if any) were done, what aftermarket parts were added, etc. if u arent to sure about that stuff maybe u should bring a friend/parent that knows about bikes to help u out.
most likely if its been well taken care of ur fine, u can tell in looking & riding it if its had TLC over its racing career, & it will be a fantastic bike.

good luck & have fun :)

most of the time people who race maintain their bikes well.just ask him about what kind of maintenance he did on it especially like the top end and clutch and all the internals, everything else you can see right away

well if the bikes been raced 4 a long time then not so much but used /raced is fine thats what l bought a used/raced 90cc quad and it running fine and l race with it 2

If u r beging a raced bike is sometimes better, because chances r (unless ur ungodly amazing like chad reed) u will wreck againg. & doing it on a new bike hurts. worse. It also depends if u plan on racing it. If so l would proabaly say. no. Most of the time people want newer bikes. in ur case l would say if ur not racing it would be a good buy. It also depends who raced it, & how often & hard the rode it. l would deffiantly check the forks handle bars spark plugs gass lines air filter & simple things like that before making the purchase.
