Hi, I am about5'7 140lbs. What size dirt bike should l get a 125 or 250.l have been look at the company sites but they have not been much help. What is the lightest bike and which is the best.

Look as ur 5''7 l would reccomend a 250

they got more power & itll last longer.

now as for the lightest bike u should be looking at the motocross bikes like a honda crf250r which is awesome. l got one & l love it the only downside with having such a light & powerful bike is high maintenance. if u want a bike that u can jsut muck around on & sometimes race with go for the honda crf250x or the ktm 250excf, the ktm is a little more expensive but it comes with heaps of added features. but because u want a light & verypowerful bike go for the 09 crf250r, they weigh 98 kgs ready to race (full fluids) efi (Electronicly fuel injected) dual pipes (looks killer) & have heeeaaaappppsssss of power.

You would be best off with a 250f & any of the known brands would be fine for you. My sons have the crf250r & have found them to be reliable bikes, but for someone just stepping up to a 250cc the Suzuki is known to be the smaller feeling bike of the 250f is & the bike that many recommend as a transition from a smaller bike if the rider is on the small side. So perhaps have a look at one of those. A 125cc is probably not as good a choice as they r slowly disappearing from race grids as the choice to race is turning towards the 250cc is & with Honda not producing a 125cc this seems to be the way the future is heading.
