.............. well nearly !!!

Was'nt it great to see James '' giving it back '' to Rossi / Lorenzo & Dovi ?

As you regulars who follow these pages are aware, James & myself are born & breed Yorkshire Men, so to see James holding a good 3rd place for the starter of the race, good my blood pressure way up !

Rossi did ..... well a Rossi ! , but it was great to see the battle with himself & Lorenzo. Bridgestone may have got 1st and 2nd, but it would seem there was nothing wrong with the Michelin rubber today.

James said they had burned out in the last few laps, but it was a great [ joint 6th ] result for him.

It would look almost 99.9 % that Bridgestone will get the spec tyre for 2009, so with that more '' level playing field '' to you think that James could have have kept that 3rd place for longer ?

Even to the last lap ? Who knows, but it was a fantastic race.

The 125 is are sewn up now aswell. Do you think if Marco can wrap up the 250 title, will he have get that mop shaved off ???

Your thoughts please race fans ?

Hey Wiggy

It was pretty intense racing was not it? l thought he might make it onto the steps as he likes to swap paint, but maybe next year.

What a race from Nicky Haydon - l can not wait to see him on that Ducatti next year!

Was not the Super stock race excellent (again) today? Well played by Pitt, but a bit of a bugger for Johnny Rea!

Only trouble is, that means that all the majors title is r sewn up now - l do prefer it when it goes to the very end of the season, but what the hell, the rain it pisseth down here so l guess l will be watching the 2nd superbike race (Eurosport has had some interesting interviews today do not u think?)

Hi Wiggysan :)

Racing was fantastic today - that battle for 4th was amazing. Rossi, as u said, was Rossi & the battle that he & James had was great. l was so nervous/excited watching it. l thought JT would have been higher placed than 6th, but after a ride like that, he cant be too disappointed!!

l definately think Marco will get the 250 is - l think hes great. Speaking of 250 is - Kallios save on Friday has to be one of the best ever

Like Dingo - just a wee mention about Johnny Rea - absolutely gutted for him! Thought he might have just stole the title. Congrats to Bayliss & Pitt today (but wish Pitt would stop moaning about Vallelunga when it was his own fault!)

His best Moto GP drive yet. Passing Rossi twice, some do not do that all season. l feel if he let Rossi go after the re- pass the 4Th would of stuck but Toesland wanted that 3rd and he gave it everything, good man!
Michelin has no interest in even contending for the tyre rule, a shame. can not see it going to anyone else other than bridgestone to be honest.
Marco is overdue a hair cut just a little, 64pts clear, all but done.

Hi Wiggysan, It just shows what he can do when he knows the tracks. so he should be better offf next season.
l will agree with u Dovi might need to be wearing pink. But im still a big fan. & he will be a contender next year.
Thats a great clip of Kallios Houdini act. that could have been very bad.
Good find Cheryl H.
l still dont see a single tyre rule making it any closer racing.
l think marco might get his once a year haircut once the title is properly decided.

I, like most on here, think JT is a top man & l wish him all the best. It would be the dogs to see him on a podium but in all honesty l do not think he could have kept the podium even if he had been on the same tyre as everyone else. The others had the same tyre problems that he did & when it comes down to it l just happen to think that Lorenzo & Dovisioso r better riders. Shinya too.

l would not be in the least bit surprised though if the control tyres next year turn out to be different control for some rather than others. There r Bridgestones finishing down the field this year too, they r not all at the front.

l was delighted to see Pedrobot make an arse of it. l would not shed a tear if he did not win a race ever again.
