ok im looking for a new bike l weigh 175 6ft l have been riding for almost a year can any one help me on what kinda bike l should get

You did not mention what type of bike; motocross, woods, sports bike, cruiser??

Suzuki DRZ400, is a great bike for woods, its also a good bike on the road, good luck

wr250 or wr450. depends if you like more power or not. But there good for both motocross and trail. It has the inverted forks for motocross and the lights for trail riding.

If your looking for a good motocross bike, and looking to save some money and want a 2-stroke id go with a YZ250 ( l prefer the 2-strokes over the new 4-strokes)
The 250YZF is the same bike in a 4 stroke.

For something thats a little more off road type the TTR 230 is awesome off road and you can do some track riding with it.

well l would get a Honda crf250f; Yamaha wr250; or if money is not an issue, a ktm exc250. You will find that all these bikes r 4 strokes. the reason is because 2 strokes will stop being made in 2010 (this includes parts) due to Eco-freaks & stuff. they have already stopped selling two strokes at Honda dealers. l my self prefer 4 strokes because they r much maintain & u do not have to mix fuel which is a pain. with two strokes u have to replace parts more often & they r much louder. the bikes l listed r all trail bikes & r excellent at mudding, but they r still excellent on tracks (especially the ktm). If ur looking for a lower price, check craigslist.com in ur local area. l would not advise u to move up to a 450 until u have lots of experience. if u still want to get a two stroke keep in mind that a two stroke 125 is equivilent two a four stroke 250 in terms of size, power & speed

For me im the same weight but four inches shorter l would go with a 250 four stroke. My choice on a brand would be Honda, Yamaha, or KTM as a brand to get.

Any Yamaha or HONDA motocross bike will be great. Size, 2 or 4, and electric start or not are all personal preference.
