l am about to purchase a bmx motor bike and in my development where l live you are not allowed to ride anything with a motor. l am wondering if you can use the pedals and not turn the motor on.

BMX=Bicycle Moto Cross, no engines. If you are getting a motorized bicycle with an engine, then it just a motorized bicycle that happens to be styled like a BMX. Most motorized bicycles can be ridden just using the pedals. You can also ask this same question of who ever, or where ever, you are buying the bike.

Also if you know the brand and model of the bike you are getting, look it up on the web.
