on a motorcycle track day whats an open pit lane to a normal track day whats the diffrence?

An open pit lane event means u r free
to go on & off the circuit (track) as
often as u like for any length of time -

You will need ability & experience to
participate in an 'open pit lane' event -

A track day however - is organised in
group sessions - u may only go on
circuit during ur specified session -
(novice - intermediate - advanced)

A novice will not be permitted to go on
track during the advanced group session -

However, in certain circumstances - ie
to run-in a new engine - an advanced rider
may go on track during the novice session -

An advanced rider would be permitted
to attend an open pit lane event -
whereas the novice will not -
